Hadfield and Padfield News
Nature Sign Design was chosen to produce a 20 sign heritage trail around Hadfield and Padfield. The group had been awarded £50,000 from the national lottery and were looking for a company who could design, manufacture, install and manage the whole project.
We worked with the group over a period of a few months and had many meetings to decide on the design of the boards, and to work on a hand drawn map, as well as the accompanying A3 size leaflet.
It was decided that a combination of steel and oak lecterns would be the most suitable as the heritage trail was to be installed around the towns of Hadfield and Padfield and then out into the countryside around the reservoirs, this is where we installed the three oak lecterns.
The first sign was a large A0 sign incorporating a hand drawn map of the area and this was to be installed at the railway station. This would be the first thing visitors to the area would see as they came off the trains at the station. This was a steel sign on upright posts with finials and a large header.
The steel lecterns were strategically placed around the towns at the points of interest. Our ‘green to the core’ panels were chosen because they are environmentally friendly and extremely robust and the print quality is brilliant.
Again our installation team safely installed everything on the highway with no inconvenience to the general public.
Everyone who had worked on this project from Nature Sign Design was present at the official opening of the Heritage Trail, which was a fabulous day out for all concerned.
